Alina was a student in Kyiv before she became active in the Euromaidan, delivering blankets and tea to protesters before working in a civil sector coordination center, assisting in transporting the wounded and killed to the morgues and hospitals and helping families find loved ones. She then joined the Army SOS and went East to the war, delivering supplies to the frontline. In 2016 she joined the Hospitallers medical unit of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army, and in 2017 co-founded a medical unit (called the “ULF”) attached to the First Assault Company of the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps (Right Sector) where she continues to serve as both front line paramedic and a drone operator.
